We were in a difficult situation. My husband retired from the United States Marine Corps in April, and took a job working in Virginia. We own our home in North Carolina, so the kids and I stayed there so they could finish school. We didn’t think we could afford a home in Virginia and keep our house in North Carolina, we wanted to use a VA loan and there wouldn’t be enough available to use if we kept our NC house. We started looking for houses in February of 2018, in July we found THE house, you know the house that you just have to have. It was everything we wanted and then some, it was our perfect forever home. We needed our house in NC to sell so we could get it but the market was not in our favor (which is why we still own it lol). Jodi was constantly working different numbers, looking at every possibility we could use. She got it all figured out with a number we were comfortable with. If it weren’t for her working tirelessly, her dedication to helping us, and making sure we could get our dream home, then we wouldn’t be here. I guarantee you a big name bank wouldn’t have been there for us like that (speaking from experience here). Jodi gave me her cell phone which I figured she would only answer during banking hours, I was WRONG!!! I called on a Friday thinking, I will leave a voicemail so I don’t forget my question and she will call me on Monday–She picked up, and she was at a fair with her family!!! I told her I can be a space case and to stay on me before closing-she and her assistant stayed on top of everything and made sure I didn’t forget any items. She was absolutely amazing, I HIGHLY recommend her. If you want to be in your dream house, then she is the person you want to use.

Today I’m a homeowner because Jodi was able to make things happen. I honestly was in shock when I received the key to my new home, as I never thought I would get a loan given my sticky situation; a 1099 plus student loans plus recent job change plus plus plus…the list goes on, BUT I had Jodi. Many in my network of friends & family, including a few within the bank/mortgage industry, had expressed how stressful it is dealing with the process of mortgage approval BUT luckily I can’t echo similar experience as I had the most pleasant stress-free journey, because Jodi was in charge. I must add that I was warned by many that I didn’t have a chance but Jodi fueled me with hope from day one and delivered results. I was introduced to Jodi one day before finding my dream home and the following day she had me pre-approved and I was able to submit my offer and a month later I am decorating my new home : ) Since, I have been mentioning her name to all my network of fam & friends and I do NOT give referrals if I am not 100% confident and not able to back it up with first-hand-experience proof. On my closing date, I was not sure to bow to Jodi and say HATS OFF! or hug her as a token of my appreciation or scream YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!!! Oh yes, she did not need to be present at closing but she was the first to show up and was there answering my questions to ensure I am 100% educated about being a first time homeowner.
